Tarte Cheek Stain

Tarte Cheek StainColor options

Product: Tarte Cheek Stain

Rating: Tom Hagen

Price: $30

Shop It: Tarte, Sephora, Ulta

THE BEAUTY:

So you can’t buy my go-to peachy glow but you can get a little cheek stain action. This stick is magic – yes, it is mediumly pricey at $30 but it seriously lasts fore-ev-ER. The one I own is a light-pink shade (you best believe the Blissful, warm peach color pictured here will be my next purchase) and it goes on flawlessly.

THE INSTRUCTION:

Swipe. Blend. Pat.

Simple, so very simple yet so very pretty.

It essentially delivers the same look you’d get as pinching your cheeks to bring out the color minus the pain / time travel back to the 1920s.

THE BEAST:

Can’t find much to complain about with this product but I won’t Godfather status is because when it goes on it feels a little wet and sticky and if you have a heavy hand you can veer towards the clown college look. Just keep those little warnings in mind and you should be golden!

    Hi Lease from Nature,

Religious reader of your blog here — haven’t missed a post yet! While you are clearly a makeup maven, not all of us are so lucky. I’m a novice in even the most generous sense, despite my extensive experience putting bronzer on middle schoolers while working at the Body Shop for three months.

Any chance we could get some tutorials, pointers or products for those of us just getting into the makeup game? My current go-to product is chapstick, to give you an idea of what you’re working with.

Thanks from your most loyal fan!

      Why thank you, Liz!

As we (the massive team of just me) get more into the blog, we will be moving into the tutorial and tips game. I’ll try to mix in more detailed steps with the different products I’m currently reviewing but if you have any suggestions for product types you want to know more about (i.e. foundation, bronzers, shadows, etc.), just let us know and we are more than happy to respond!
